Unbeaten Kansas still not getting much love around the country

^AP-KSM--Jayhawks Respect,<

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ The Kansas Jayhawks are unbeaten this
season, but they're also untested after four easy nonconference
wins.
So despite putting up some of the best numbers in college
football the first month of the season, the Jayhawks also are
unranked.
They've beaten four overmatched opponents by a total score of
214-23.
But they got almost no respect at all from voters in this week's
Associated Press poll. Kansas collected only six points -- about
128 points short of cracking the Top 25.
Kansas coach Mark Mangino says the Jayhawks have to be
consistent week after week to gain national respect.
Kansas is off this week before traveling to Kansas State on
October 6th for an 11 a.m. kickoff on a televised game.
