Chiefs Officially Sign Berry
Safety Eric Berry, the fifth overall
pick in last spring's draft, says on his Twitter account that he's
reached a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Safety Eric Berry, the fifth overall
pick in last spring's draft, says on his Twitter account that he's
reached a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
A spokesman for the Chiefs said until the club announced
something, there is nothing official.
But Berry tweeted on Friday, ``Bout to head to St. Joe!!! Aka
the deals done.''

CHIEFS SIGN FIRST-ROUND PICK S ERIC BERRY
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that the club has signed first-round draft pick S Eric Berry.
Berry (6-0, 211) joined the Chiefs as the club’s first-round pick (fifth overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He started 39 games at Tennessee, collecting 245 tackles (157 solo), 14 interceptions (494 yards) with three TDs, 31 passes defensed, three QB pressures, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. He also had 17.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks (-11.0 yards).
Berry was a unanimous two-time All-America selection at Tennessee and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back as a senior. He was a Parade All-America selection as a senior at Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia.
