MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The No. 15 Washburn Lady Blues soccer team won a 2-0 decision at Northwest Missouri State on the road in Maryville, Mo. over the Bearcats. Washburn will be back in action as they open a three-match homestand starting with Southwest Baptist on Sept. 27 as they try to regain the NCAA Division II women's soccer attendance record of 2,004, which Central Oklahoma had earlier this season.

In the second half, both teams were held scoreless until the 86th minute when Mainz scored her 11th goal of the season on Englehardt's second assist of the match.

Washburn took more the aggressor's role in the second half as they attempted nine shots, compared to two for the Bearcats.
On the 27th against Southwest Baptist, Washburn will try to take back the NCAA Division II attendance record. The Lady Blues had 1,848 on Sept. 10, 2005 against Missouri Southern, but Central Oklahoma hosted 2,004 in a match earlier this season. Many prizes and giveaways are planned as well as a pre-match tailgate.
