Washburn Soccer Falls 2-nil

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- The No. 15 ranked Washburn Lady Blues soccer team was blanked 2-0 by Truman Friday afternoon. Washburn will look to get back to its winning ways on Saturday at Northwest Missouri in Maryville.
The Lady Blues, who entered the match as the top shooting team in the conference was outshot 15 to 6 by the Bulldogs. Truman scored both of its goals in the first half as Danielle Hill scored on an assist from Isabel Gaeta in the 36th minute and Emily Newsham scored in the 41st minute.
Washburn only attempted three shots on goal in the match - two by Jessica Mainz and the other by Traci Nigg.
