EMPORIA, KAN. (September 14, 2007)--With a presale of over 3,000 and
less than 100 reserved tickets remaining the excitement level for
Emporia State*s football home opener is at a fever pitch. Those fans
that are not able to attend the game in person do not have to be left
out of the action. ESU and their media partners, KFFX-FM and The
Emporia Gazette, and the MIAA have teamed up to give extensive
multi-media coverage of Hornet football this year.
This will be the 20th season the Hornets have been broadcast on KFFX,

commentary from the booth with Ron Thomas on the sidelines. All ESU
Athletic events that are aired over the radio waves will also be
available on-line at www.kvoe.com/listen.htm. The audio portion of the
Hornet football games will then be replayed on the web Monday*s at 7
p.m. from kvoe.com. Both the live and archived audio webcasts are free.
The ESU Department of Technology and Computing Services, in partnership
with the MIAA and Penn Atlantic, will produce video webcasts of all
Hornet home games at www.themiaa.tv. This is a pay per view service and
will cost $5.95 per broadcast. The three camera feed for this
weekend*s game will be provided by TCS with the audio coming from
Mix 104.9FM. The video feed will then be rebroadcast on Emporia Cable
Channel 8 on Monday at 4 p.m.
This year ESU*s Athletic Media Relations will be providing live stats
on the Hornet web site at www.emporia.edu/athletics courtesy of The
Emporia Gazette. With this feature, fans will be able to keep up with
all the statistical action of Hornet football as it happens, live on the
internet. Look for the live stats link on the ESU web site.
