Rams' Pace on IR

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ The St. Louis Rams placed Orlando Pace on
injured reserve today, ending the star lineman's season after one
game because of a shoulder injury.
Pace will need surgery on his labrum and rotator cuff, and
should need six months to recover.
The Rams signed tackle Brandon Gorin, who made 18 starts for the
Patriots between 2002 and 2005, including the team's Super Bowl
victory in 2005, and defensive tackle Louis Leonard. He'll replace
defensive tackle Claude Wroten, who was suspended for four weeks by
the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
