Disappointed with rookie Medlock, KC signs Rayner

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Disappointed with kicker Justin Medlock,
the Chiefs today signed Dave Rayner to a two-year contract.
Medlock was inconsistent in the preseason and missed a 30-yard
attempt in a 20-to-3 loss to Houston on Sunday.
Rayner was drafted by Indianapolis in 2005. He lost his position
in Green Bay this year to rookie Mason Crosby.
With the Packers last year, Rayner made 26 of 36 field goal
Medlock is expected to be kept on the practice squad.
