TOPEKA, Kan. (September 10, 2007) –The “King of the Track E.T. Bracket qualifying race at Heartland Park Topeka was completed Saturday night with champions crowned in the Super Pro, Pro ET, Sportsman and Trophy divisions. The four winners advance to the “King of the Track” finals which will be held a HPT October 20, 2007.
In the Super Pro division, Mike Colvin of Kansas City, MO ran a 7.448 E.T. on a 7.45 dial-in to defeat Derek Schafer, Manhattan, KS going 182.21 MPH.
Kurt Butts from Mulvane, KS defeated Ryan Montford of Wichita in the Pro ET class while Warren Cox, Topeka ran a 14.376 ET on a 12.33 dial-in to defeat Todd Piper out of Wamego in the Sportsman class.
In the Trophy division, Martin Ranker, Topeka ran a 12.773 ET on a 12.74 dial-in going 102.38 MPH to defeat Larry Leach, also from Topeka.
