TOPEKA, Kan. (September 8, 2007) – The theme of the evening at Heartland Park Topeka Friday, was “girls night out.” In the eighth junior drag race of the 2007 season, the girls found their way to finals in two of the three classes.
Samantha Little of Stillwell, Kansas ran a 13.080 elapsed time on a 12.90 dial-in going 45.67 MPH to defeat Caralea Manthe of Auburn, Kansas in the 8-9 year old class.
In the 10-12 year old division, Austin McClure, Topeka, Kansas went 72.08 MPH while running an 8.867 E.T. on an 8.90 dial-in to defeat Katie Carter from Kansas City, Kansas.
Using an E.T. of 10.356 on a 10.25 dial-in, Danielle Butler of Tecumseh, Kansas defeated Lauren Thomas, Marshall, Missouri to win the 13-18 year old class, going 60.2 MPH.
