TOPEKA, Kan. (September 5, 2007) - NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Clint Bowyer will return to Topeka September 26, 2007 to compete in the Capital City Clash on the dirt track at Heartland Park Topeka. Bowyer will be joined by fellow NASCAR drivers Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and David Ragan who will make his first appearance at the famed 3/8 mile dirt oval.
Bowyer is currently competing in the Chase for the Nextel Cup in the no. 07 Jack Daniels Chevrolet, for Richard Childress Racing. Kenny Wallace is a television personality for ‘NASCAR RaceDay’ on Speed Channel. Ken Schrader also is a regular panelist on ‘Inside Nextel Cup’, a Speed Channel program. David Ragan is currently second in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings in the no. 6 AAA Ford for Roush Fenway Racing. Ragan will not be competing in the event, but will be signing autographs for VIP ticket holders.
Tickets to the Capital City Clash are now available through Heartland Park Topeka ticket offices. Adult admission is $15, children ages 2 to 12 are $10. VIP tickets are also available for $50. The VIP ticket will include VIP dinner and autograph session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Schrader, Wallace, Bowyer and Ragan.
