ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) _ The United States is the biggest
mover in the top 25 of this month's world soccer rankings for men.
Unfortunately, the U.S. is headed in the wrong direction, dropping
three places to number 17 -- six behind regional rival Mexico.
Brazil retains the top spot, narrowly holding off rival
The top five places remain unchanged from last month, with World
Cup holder Italy, France and Germany filling the next three spots.
Croatia, Netherlands, Spain, Czech Republic and Portugal round out
the top 10.
Cameroon drops a place to 16th but remains Africa's
highest-ranked team, 10 spots ahead of Nigeria.
Iraq is the month's biggest mover overall, rising 16 places to
number 64 after winning the Asian Cup for the first time. Runner-up
Saudi Arabia rose 10 spots to number 51.
