Kansas City's defense looking to score some points in 2007

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) _ Kansas City's defense didn't score a
single point off turnovers last season, so getting a touchdown and
safety in its first exhibition game is a big deal.
The Chiefs were tied for tenth in turnover margin in 2006 with
plus-four.
Coach Herm Edwards wants to see that ranking go up, and he's
stressing the importance of the defense getting its hands on the
ball.
In the first exhibition game on Saturday, the Chiefs forced a
fumble that Cleveland recovered in the end zone for a safety. The
Chiefs also scored a touchdown on a 56-yard fumble return by backup
cornerback Benny Sapp.
Defensive end Jared Allen says it's easy to get fired up, with
Edwards constantly working with the defensive unit.
The Chiefs are home against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday
night.
