LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Nebraska opened preseason football practice
today without cornerback Zackary Bowman.
Bowman continues to rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament
in his left knee on the third day of practice in 2006.
Coach Bill Callahan says Bowman is the only player who's injured
coming into the season.
Bowman will be on the sidelines at practice getting mental
repetitions and will participate in individual drills supervised by
the athletic training staff.
Callahan said Bowman's status for on-field work would be
day-to-day.
