KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 24, 2007) –Kansas Speedway has announced the hiring of two new staff members.
Justin “Doc” Shobe joins the Kansas Speedway staff as group sales coordinator. Shobe, a Coffeyville, Kan. native, joins the Kansas Speedway staff from the University of Kansas’ Williams Fund, where he was most recently a graduate assistant while he completed his master’s degree in sports administration. He also earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
Ashley Webb has been named marketing and public relations assistant. Webb most recently worked at Chicagoland Speedway as an account executive. Prior to joining Chicagoland, she worked with the Kansas Speedway credentials staff. A Rogersville, Mo. native, Webb graduated from Missouri State University.
“We’re excited about the addition of Doc and Ashley to the Kansas Speedway team,” said Pat Warren, senior director of marketing and public relations. “Both will be great assets to the speedway as we continue to make Kansas Speedway one of the premier race tracks in the country.”
Season tickets are available for September 2007 and April 2008, which includes the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Kansas 400, the NASCAR Busch Series Yellow Transportation 300, the USAC kansasspeedway.com 100, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 and the IndyCar Series Kansas Lottery Indy 300.
