A familiar face may be visiting the Tour de
France later this week. The strong performance of the Discovery
Channel team at the Tour de France has prompted seven-time winner
Lance Armstrong to consider making an appearance.
Armstrong had planned to skip this year's race. But now that his
former team has two riders among the top four, he tells The
Associated Press that he's rethinking his plans.
Armstrong says, ``Tomorrow is the last day in the Pyrenees, so
we'll know more after tomorrow.''
Spaniard Alberto Contador and fellow American Levi Leipheimer
(LEE'-vy LYP'-hy-mur) are holding Armstrong's attention and keeping
the Discovery Channel team in the race.
Contador is in second place behind Denmark's Michael Rasmussen,
trailing by two minutes and 23 seconds heading into stage 16.
Leipheimer sits fourth overall.
