TOPEKA, Kan. (July 21, 2007) – Joe Smith won $5,000 by winning the Saturday round of the Mega Bucks Bracket race at Heartland Park Topeka. Smith defeated Kevin Lawrence in the final round of the Super Pro division to take home the title and the money.
Jon Maugans took the title in the Pro No E class, defeating Nick Siebert from Wamego, Kansas.
Smith, (Emporia, Kansas) ran a 5.195 E.T. on a 5.17 dial-in going 131.23 MPH in the Super Pro class and Mauguns, (Wichita, Kansas) used an E.T. of 6.709 seconds on a 6.71 dial-in to take the trophy and the money in the Pro No Electronics class.
