^AP-KSM--Chiefs-Allen Suspended,<
NEW YORK (AP) _ The National Football League is suspending
Kansas City defensive end Jared Allen for the first two games of
the 2007 season.
Allen previously said he been suspended for four games, but the
N-F-L declined to comment because the case was being appealed.
The league announced the two-game suspension today.
The 25-year-old Allen was arrested twice for driving under the
influence of alcohol. He entered a diversion program on the first
charge and pleaded no contest to the second.
He was second on the Chiefs with seven and one-half sacks last
season.
