TOPEKA, Kan. (July 15, 2007) –The National Dragster Challenge Champions were crowned in Super Pro, Pro E.T., Sportsman and Trophy classes Saturday evening at Heartland Park Topeka.
With a reaction time of .008, Chris Damico of Kansas City, MO defeated Mark Grame of Overland Park, KS in the Super Pro class. Damico had an elapsed time of 9.616 seconds on a dial -in of 9.59 going 138.06 MPH.
Ryan Montford, Wichita,KS, took home the championship in th Pro E.T. class defeating Mark Hogg of Greeley, KS. Montford ran a 9.547 second elapsed time on a 9.53 dial-in for 131.64 MPH.
In the Sportsman class, Michael Failer of Emett, KS defeated Bob Lash of St. George, KS to take home the prized “Wally.” Failer ran a 13.721 second E.T. on a 13.67 dial-in.
Lee Lockhart, out of Topeka was crowned champion in the Trophy class. Lockhart defeated Darrell Wilson of Meriden, KS with an E.T. of 12.110 seconds and a dial-in of 12.04 going 109.04 MPH.

E.T. drag racers will be back on the dragstrip Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 for the Mega Bucks Race. Racers can also take advantage of the Street Wars/Test and Tune event Friday, July 20th.
