Cleveland Downs Kansas City with Long Ball

CLEVELAND (AP) _ Travis Hafner's long two-run homer helped
Fausto Carmona and the Cleveland Indians defeat the Kansas City
Royals 5-to-3.
Carmona allowed two runs over seven innings to win his third
straight start and improve to 11-and-4. He's 8-and-0 with a
one-point-98 E-R-A in nine daytime starts.
Joe Borowski pitched the ninth for his 26th save in 29 chances.
Royals starter Jorge De La Rosa, who left the game in the fourth
inning with a sore thumb, drops to 7-and-10 with the loss.
Cleveland improves baseball's best home record to 33-and-13 with
their seventh victory in the past eight games at Jacobs Field.
