TORONTO (AP) _ The United States was eliminated from the FIFA
(FEE-fuh) Under-20 World Cup with a 2-to-1 overtime loss to Austria
in the quarterfinals. Erwin Hoffer scored the go-ahead goal in the
105th minute, just two minutes after he entered the game.
Josmer Altidore of the New York Red Bulls put the United States
ahead in the 15th minute with his fourth goal of the tournament.
Referee Martin Hansson of Sweden handed out 12 yellow cards --
seven to the U.S. team and five to Austria.
