Tigers trade RHP Roman Colon to Kansas City Royals

DETROIT (AP) _ The Detroit Tigers have traded right-handed
pitcher Roman Colon to the Kansas City Royals
for a player to be named later.
Colon was recently charged in a locker room scuffle with a
Triple-A Toledo teammate.
Colon's injury rehabilitation assignment has been transferred
from Double-A Erie to Double-A Wichita in the Royals organization.
He has spent the entire season on the disabled list as he recovered
from off-season neck surgery.
The player Detroit will receive is expected to be named on or
before October 15th.
Colon was charged with felonious assault and the Tigers
suspended him for seven days for the altercation.
Colon was fighting with a teammate before a June 12th game when
Mud Hens pitcher Jason Karnuth tried to break it up. Colon hit
Karnuth, breaking several bones in his face.
