^ NEW YORK (AP) _ Saying he was beginning to take his job for
granted, Dan Patrick has announced he's leaving E-S-P-N after 18
The former SportsCenter anchor announced his decision on his
radio show today insisting there is no acrimony. Patrick says his
final show will be August 17th.
He says E-S-P-N executives tried to talk him out of his
decision. He originally planned to make the announcement last week,
but they asked him to reconsider.
Patrick was a SportsCenter anchor from 1989 to 2006. He's hosted
``The Dan Patrick Show'' on E-S-P-N Radio since 1999.
