Former Ohio Valley commissioner named interim leader of Big 12

IRVING, Texas (AP) _ Former Ohio Valley Conference commissioner
Dan Beebe has been named interim commissioner of the Big 12.
Beebe's appointment was announced yesterday, a week after Kevin
Weiberg said he was leaving after nearly a decade to join the new
Big Ten Network. Beebe takes over July 15th.
Beebe joined the Big 12 in 2003 as senior associate commissioner
and chief operating officer after 14 years at the helm of the Ohio
Valley Conference.
