She is a semi - retired associate professor at Washburn University --- who has as many shoe boxes full of medals as she has grandchildren. Susan Miller is being honored as the Sunflower State Game's female athlete of the year. "It's just a fun thing, I think the positive attitude toward life."
And there's nobody more positive than Susan Miller, 67 year old grandmother of three who lives and breathes sports. "Badminton... swimming... two to three times a week."
You get the idea. She grew up long before title nine, and created her own opportunities. "I was the tom boy, the boys let me play."
Oh, she's still playing against the boys --- which should inspire other seniors. "It's incentive." As the Sunflower State Games are concerned, there couldn't be a better ambassador: "Just enjoy it and learn from the experience.
