Bishop Miege senior Travis Releford gave his oral commitment to the Kansas men's basketball program Tuesday night, according to a report published in the Kansas City Star.
The 6'4", 185 lb. guard was ranked 66th of the Class of 2008 by Rivals.com and the 14th best shooting guard. He was named to The Star’s first-team All-Metro boys basketball team, averaging 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game as a junior.
Releford said he picked Kansas over North Carolina, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas State, among other schools.
“I know a lot of people that are going to be there,” Releford told the Star, “and my family is going to be close. They’re going to come see me play.”
