LAWRENCE, Kan. - Over 100 campers took part in Bonnie Henrickson's Elite Camp June 14-16 on the University of Kansas campus. The tremendous turnout - which doubled last year's mark - included campers from several states including California, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Texas.
Elite Camp is designated for the committed basketball player wanting to improve individual skills during the off-season. Players are introduced to Coach Henrickson's system and philosophies of the game. Emphasis is placed on developing advanced skill according to position both offensively and defensively.
All members of the KU women's basketball coaching staff were present at Elite Camp as well as current members of the KU team, high school coaches, professional players and college coaches from other universities.
