Royals Win Game, Series
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Brian Bannister won his fourth
consecutive start and Esteban German (hur-MAHN') doubled in the
go-ahead run as the Kansas City Royals edged Florida 5-to-4.
The Royals improve to 8-and-4 in interleague play.
Bannister is 4-and-3 after giving up four runs on nine hits over
six-plus innings. He's allowed five earned runs in 28 innings in
June.
Scott Olsen fell to 5-and-6 with the loss and Octavio Dotel
(doh-TEHL') got his fifth save in five chances.
Jeremy Hermida (hur-MEE'-duh) hit a two-run homer for Florida.
