St. Louis Turns Tables on Royals

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Albert Pujols (POO'-hohlz) drove in
three runs in leading the St. Louis Cardinals past Kansas City
7-to-3.
Adam Wainwright allowed one hit in eight innings to even his
mark at 5-and-5. He didn't allow a hit until Esteban German singled
to left with two out in the sixth. Wainwright struck out three and
walked two.
Pujols singled home a run in the first off Odalis Perez, who
fell to 3-and-7. He then keyed a five-run second inning with a
two-run single. The All-Star first baseman has a career .398
average with seven homers and 23 R-B-Is in 83 at-bats at Kauffman
Stadium.
