December 12, 2009 -- The Emporia State women's basketball team used a 42-31 rebounding margin to come from behind to beat Central Missouri 72-66. ESU was outshot in the game .443 to .391.

ESU fell behind early in the first half, but rebounded to take a 36-35 lead into the break. ESU shot .375 percent in the firt half but shot .909 percent from the free-throw line.

In the second half ESU would take the lead, and led by as much as ten, and would hold it. ESU should .882 percent from the line to keep themselves in it scoring 15 points from the line while the Jennies only scored four points from the line.

Alli Volkens scored 20 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Cassondra Boston added 16 points for ESU.

The Lady Hornets return to the floor on Dec. 21 when they travel to California State East-Bay.
