Chiefs Promote DT Gales

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has promoted DT Dion Gales to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.
Gales (6-5, 259) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Kansas City in 2009. He spent the first 12 games of the season on the club’s practice squad. Gales played in 25 games (17 starts) in two seasons at Troy University, recording 92 tackles (64 solo), 23.5 stops behind the line, 8.5 sacks (-34.0 yards), one forced fumble and 12 QB pressures. He began his collegiate career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He prepped at John F. Kennedy High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
