ESU Athletics to honor Michelle Stueve at UCM game
The Emporia State athletic department will retire the jersey of Michelle Stueve during halftime of the women's game as #9 ESU takes on Central Missouri in White Auditorium on Dec. 12.

December 9, 2009 -- The Emporia State athletic department will retire the jersey of Michelle Stueve during halftime of the women's game as #9 ESU takes on Central Missouri in White Auditorium on Dec. 12. Tip-off for the match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Michelle, Stueve, a native of Olpe, Kan., became the first Lady Hornet to be named an All-American three times at ESU. In 2008 she was a consensus All-American after being to the WBCA, Daktronics and DII Bulletin All-American squads. She was also named an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American.
In 2007 she was named first-team All-WBCA and third-team All-Daktronics. In 2006 she became the first Hornet to be named an all-American as a sophomore after being named first-team All-WBCA and first-team All-Daktronics.
She is the All-Time leading scorer at ESU and in the MIAA with 2,403 career points. She also holds ESU career records in three-pointers made, three-points attempts and career free throw percentage.
