Shockers Fall in First Round of Own NCAA Regional

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Brandon Bowser drove in two runs in the
ninth inning as New Orleans came back to beat top-seeded Wichita
State 7-to-6 tonight in the Wichita Regional.
Fourth-seeded New Orleans (38-24) trailed 6-to-4 entering the
top of the ninth and scored three runs on three hits against
Wichita State's top relievers.
Nick Schwaner struck out but reached first base on a wild pitch
by Noah Krol (1-2). A single by pinch-hitter Ryan Eden drove in
Schwaner before Bowser singled against Noah Booth, in relief of
Krol, to put the Privateers ahead.
Arizona (41-15) will play New Orleans in the winner's bracket of
the double-elimination tournament tomorrow night. Wichita State
(49-20) will play Oral Roberts (40-16) in the afternoon.
Earlier today, Bill Rhinehart singled to score the winning run
as Arizona beat Oral Roberts 4-3.
