There are plenty of local drivers to choose from, but it's tough to find any who've had as much fun and success as 2 time world champion Gary Stinnett, who's life in racing began shortly after his life on earth. Stinnett went with his father, who was a drag racer at 6 weeks old. His crew has grown to include his family now, as well as Stinnett's business, which relies on his expertise on the track. While being a top level driver has it's perks in the business side of things; racing so close to home is a double edged sword. Stinnett has been shut out in Topeka since 2000, but won the nationals 3 times in the late 90's, and that winning tradition has helped boost his reputation.
Stinnett has been one of the most successful drivers across the board in sportsman class racing. He is only the ninth driver in history to win in four different categories: Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, and Super Gas.
