ESU VOLLEYBALL ADDS THREE
EMPORIA, KAN. (May 31, 2007)--Emporia State head volleyball coach Bing
Xu has announced the addition of three players to the Hornet volleyball
program for the 2007 season. They join three high school signees from
last fall.

Megan Koster is a 5-10 outside hitter that transfers to ESU from
Hutchinson CC. She was an honorable mention All-Jayhawk Conference
player for the Blue Dragons who advanced to the NJCAA final eight both
years. She is ranked in the top 15 of eight different statistical
categories at HCC and is second in career digs. She was a first-team
All-State selection for Clay Center HS and a three year All-North
Central Kansas League performer for the Tigers.

Kaley Miller is a 5-9 outside hitter/setter that transfers to ESU from
Allen County CC. She was voted the Red Devils MVP and led the team in
assists. She was a second-team All-Eastern Kansas League performer for
Blue Valley HS.

Addie Peterson is a 5-8 setter from Chanute HS. She was a first-team
All-Southeast Kansas League performer for the Blue Comets who went 25-8
last season. Their season was ended by Paola HS, led by fellow ESU
signee Brittany Miller, in the sub-state semifinals.

The three join fall signees Brianne Boner of Omaha-Mercy HS, Brittany
Miller of Paola HS and Bethany Thiesen of Moundridge HS for the Hornets.
ESU returns six players from last year*s 15-16 team that placed
fourth in the MIAA.
