Less than a week ago, the Kansas City Royals looked like they had turned the corner and could perhaps avoid their fourth straight 100-loss season. Now, they look like the same old Royals.
Kansas City looks to stop a four-game losing streak when it opens a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles at Kauffman Stadium on Monday.
The Royals (19-32) had won eight of 10 games before their current skid - their third losing streak of at least four games this season.
They have been outscored 36-10 in their last four games, including 26-7 in a three-game sweep to Seattle this weekend.
"The last four games, it sounds like we're talking about the same game," manager Buddy Bell said. "Not enough pitching. Not enough offense."
