OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Eddie Vasquez had two R-B-Is and Kansas
State pitchers combined for five hits to lead Kansas State to a
5-to-1 victory over Nebraska last night in the Big 12 Conference
baseball tournament.
The Wildcats never trailed, getting two runs in the bottom of
the second inning and another run in the fourth for a 3-to-nothing
advantage.
The Cornhuskers finally got on the scoreboard in the top of the
sixth inning when Andrew Brown singled to score Mitch Abeita.
The Wildcats got insurance runs in the eighth from Vasquez and
an R-B-I by Adam Muenster.
Kansas State improves to 34-and-23 on the season. Nebraska falls
to 30-and-24.
