Long Ball Belts Royals Past Tribe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ John Buck, Mike Sweeney and Mark
Grudzielanek highlighted Kansas City's offense
in an 11-to-7 victory over Cleveland.
Buck and Sweeney each homered for the second straight game to
fuel the Royals' five-run second inning. Grudzielanek went 3-for-5
with a homer and three R-B-Is as the Royals won for the eighth time
in ten games.
Buck also provided an R-B-I double and Alex Gordon added a homer
and two R-B-I's.
Grady Sizemore and Casey Blake began the game with back-to-back
homers, but the Indians dropped to 10-and-13 on the road. Travis
Hafner hit a two-run homer in the ninth for the final margin.
Reliever Brandon Duckworth went three straight innings to get to
2-and-3. Cliff Lee was chased in the fifth, allowing eight runs and
ten hits to slip to 2-and-1.
