Wamego Makes Most of Field Situation
Every practice day after school gets out at 3:10; the Wamego baseball team loads up on 2 busses for the 3 mile trip north to Lewisville, and play on their field, not exactly an ideal situation for a team preparing for a trip to the state tournament.
Today the team was lucky enough to procure time on the local little league field before games started; but the lack of a home combined with 2 early exit's from state, have the guys salivating. Proving their worth is the plan for a team that isn't settling for anything less than a championship
