Topeka – The Kansas Association of Blind Athletes (“KABA”) will host its inaugural Trivia Night competition Tuesday, May 22 (6:00-9:30 p.m.) at the 6th Avenue Ballroom, 117 S.W. 6th Street (3rd floor – there IS an elevator). Catering provided by Topeka’s newest premier restaurant, Row House Restaurant.
Think you know your trivia? Come test your answers against the Trivia Night participants!
Trivia Night is an evening of group trivia competition, with tables of eight participants competing against other groups for prizes and bragging rights. Trivia categories to be judged: local, sports, entertainment, blah blah blah. The fun is in finding out some cool stuff about the world and also boo-hooing your neighboring table when they blow the answer.

This lively occasion, with substantial hors d’ oeuvres by Row House Restaurant and a cash bar, includes an opportunity to mingle with some of the city’s most influential and active people. Judge Matthew Dowd will be Judging the event, and John Parker, President of KABA will MC and will help to judge the event. First prize is a Dinner for eight with wine pairings at the Row House Restaurant. Other prizes are from Gage Center Bowl, Nick’s Wine Corner in Fresno, California, authors, Tom and Deb Goodrich, Sun Resorts Tanning Salon, Hastings, BNSF Railroad, Holiday Inn and Krause Dining. The evening is all about camaraderie and testing your trivia chops, all the while helping Kansas’ blind athletes continue their mission:
KABA is dedicated to the promotion of athletic and recreational activities for the visually impaired and blind. The opportunities provided for all ages will foster an environment in which the individual will raise self-esteem, confidence and the ability to face the challenges of life. The socialization and self-expression gained from these events will help to integrate the visually impaired and the sighted community.
KABA’s Trivia Night is a highly competitive event that begs the question: do you know anything about anything?
