Royals Rock Rockies in Extras
DENVER (AP) _ Ryan Shealy's broken-bat single to right in the
12th inning drove in the go-ahead run and the Kansas City Royals
beat the Colorado Rockies 10-to-5. Winning pitcher Joel Peralta
added a two-run double in his first major league at-bat.
The Royals scored five runs off reliever Ramon Ramirez in the
12th inning. Ramirez is 1-and-1. He has given up eight runs in the
last two days.
Peralta pitched two innings for the win. He's 1-and-2.
