Youth Volunteer Corps of America’s Summer Sensations Kick-off
6 p.m. at Kauffman Stadium
The Royals host the Youth Volunteer Corps of America’s Summer Sensations kick-off at Kauffman Stadium. More than 75 supporters and youth from the YVCA will be in attendance to launch the start of the program, which empowers area youth to volunteer at projects throughout Kansas City. The mission of the Youth Volunteer Corps of America, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is to create and increase volunteer opportunities to enrich America's youth, address community needs and develop a lifetime commitment to service.

THURSDAY, MAY 24th
Royals Wives Silent Auction to Benefit Harvesters
5:30-8:30 p.m. behind sections 101-102 at Kauffman Stadium
Royals Wives will hold a premier silent auction to benefit Harvesters. Raffle tickets for a chance to win autographed baseball items will also be sold.

FRIDAY, MAY 25 25th
Anniversary Royals Wives Food Drive
5-7:30 p.m. at Gates A and B of Kauffman Stadium
Royals Wives will collect “kid-friendly” food and cash donations to benefit Harvesters – Kansas City’s only food bank.

First “810 Royals Rookies of the Week” Winners Announced
11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sports Radio 810 WHB and The Program with Soren Petro
Every Royals Friday home game throughout the season, Sports Radio 810 WHB and The Program with Soren Petro and the Kansas City Royals will honor a group to be the 810 Royals Rookies of the Week. Members of this Friday’s winning group will receive tickets to the Royals 7:10 p.m. game against the Seattle Mariners, refreshment vouchers and a T-shirt. Fans are encouraged to nominate these organizations, charity groups or sports teams by logging onto royals.com and filling out a nomination form.

SATURDAY, MAY 26 “My Greatest Day in Baseball”
11 a.m. at the Gem Theater, located on 1615 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, Mo.
Royals General Manager Dayton Moore, Royals Hall of Fame Second Baseman Frank White and Royals five-time All-Star Mike Sweeney will join other Kansas City Sports notables for a public discussion on their most memorable days in baseball. Hosted by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and Kansas City Star sports columnist Joe Posnanski, the event will honor the late Buck O’Neil. The discussion is free with a paid admission to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
