After a sluggish start against Salina Central, the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds turned on the thrusters and ended up cruising back to the state tournament. Heights fell down 0-1, before Nicole Main and Stefine Pease quickly put the T-Birds on top 2-1. Corrine Shelby then added the third goal with under four minutes to play in the first half.

In the 2nd there were more bookings than goals, as 3 yellow cards were handed out. There were 4 total in the game. Stefine Pease added another goal in the 62nd minute to seal the victory for Shawnee Heights.
