With a .349 batting average and .548 slugging percentage, junior Mark
Stoltz was named to the Daktronics all-region second team announced
Wednesday. Stoltz was honored as a designated hitter after earning
all-MIAA second team recognition in the same position earlier.
Stoltz batted .349 while splitting time as the DH and the catcher. He
was second on the team with five home runs and led the team with three
triples. In 146 at-bats he had 51 hits, drove in 41 runs and scored 25
runs. He walked 14 times and was hit by 10 pitches to help lead to a
.441 on-base percentage.
Stoltz is the first Daktronics all-region player for Washburn and the
first Ichabod honored regionally since 2003.
