MANKATO, MINN. May 11, 2007-- The Hornet softball team fell in 11 innings 2-1 to #3 seed Southwest Minnesota State. The Hornets and Mustangs were deadlocked before Southwest struck for a run in the bottom of the 11th frame. For the Hornets April Huddleston drove in the lone run on a single in the third inning driving in Laura Pfaustch. ESU's Samantha Sheeley went seven innings only allowing one run, and Courtney Reed came on to pitch the final 3.1 innings. The Hornets will play Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. against Missouri Western in a elimination bracket game.
