It is hoped that enrollment for the Sunflower State Games will approach seven thousand competitors this year. No matter how many there will eventually be, the race to become the first one to register has been decided.

New to the Sunflower Games this year is the Adventure Race, which combines running, kayaking, orienteering, with a little mountain biking... and when John Mugler head his favorite sport was an event this year he couldn't wait to get some mud on the tires. The early bid compared Adventure Racing to another sport with water, biking and running, Triathlon.
