KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ The Kansas City Royals are bringing
pitchers Luke Hudson and Scott Elarton off the disabled list.
Manager Buddy Bell says Hudson will start tomorrow against the
Oakland Athletics, and Elarton will start Saturday against the
Chicago White Sox. Elarton had shoulder surgery in August and is
coming back ahead of schedule.
Hudson began last season in the Kansas City bullpen and finished
in the rotation. He was 6-and-3 with a four-point-79 E-R-A in
Elarton was the Royals' 2006 Opening Day starter. He replaces
Zack Greinke in the rotation.
Elarton was 4-and-9 with a five-point-34 E-R-A in 20 starts last
season before surgery.
