WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ New Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall has
his hands full filling his roster for the upcoming season.
The school granted a release today for junior guard Sean Ogirri,
who averaged nearly 10 points per game last season. Ogirri can
transfer to another Division One school, but would need to sit out
a year before playing his final college season.
The school also said incoming freshmen Denzel Bowles and Evann
Baker were granted releases from their national letters of intent.
Another player, junior forward P-J Couisnard, has declared for
the N-B-A Draft. But he has not hired an agent and can still
withdraw his name.
Marshall led Winthrop to the N-C-double-A tournament last
season. He was hired to replace Mark Turgeon, who left to take over
at Texas A-and-M.
