KANSAS CITY (AP) _ Ross Gload had his first four-hit game in the
big leagues as Kansas City beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-to-2. He
scored three times and drove in two runs as winning pitcher Gil
Meche got his third win in four decisions. After allowing a two-run
home run to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning, Meche settled
down and retired the next 17 men he faced. He now has an E-R-A of
two-point-23. Joakim Soria worked the ninth for his fifth save.
Jared Weaver matched his career high with nine strikeouts but
took the loss and drops to 1-and-3.
