April 30, 2007-- The Hornet baseball team got a 6-2 victory over Southwest Baptist in a make-up game held on Monday, April 30. Mickey Lara went all nine innings for the Hornets allowing two runs on only six hits while striking out seven, which ties his season high. At the plate Nick Wolfe hit his fourth home run of the season driving in two and later scored on Tim Barger's two-out, two-run double in top of the sixth. The Hornets will come home for their final regular season games starting with a single nine-inning game against Pittsburg State on Thursday, May 3. First pitch for that game is set for 5 p.m. at Glennen Field in the Trusler Sports Complex.
