Darnell earns first trucks victory, denies Skinner's record bid

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) _ Erik Darnell picked up his first career
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory today at the Kansas Speedway,
dominating the race and snapping Mike Skinner's string of three
consecutive wins.
Skinner, the points leader, finished fifth.
Darnell was the series' top rookie last season. His win in his
31st career start put a Ford in Victory Lane for the first time
this year, after Toyotas took the first four races.
It's been a successful weekend for Darnell, who finished second
in Friday's ARCA race.
Jack Sprague finished third in the truck race, followed by
Johnny Benson, Skinner, and Ron Hornaday.
